There is something deeply personal, almost introspective, in Nathan Mollet's music. A subtle, sensitive style, shaped over the years at the intersection of intuition and meticulous work. His projects, the result of long hours of research and piano playing, are born from a simple but essential desire: to create a sincere connection with the listener, to invite them into a world where each note recounts an emotion, a moment, a breath.Trained by the great masters of jazz—Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Hank Jones—and influenced by contemporary artists such as Pat Metheny, Avishai Cohen, Ben Wendel, Tigran Hamasyan, and Pedro Martins, Nathan has developed a musical language that is both rooted in tradition and resolutely forward-looking.Ever since childhood, he improvised, invented loops, and played with silences and surprises. The piano has become for him a space of total freedom, capable of expressing both gentleness and impetus, contemplation and audacity. With an ever-expanding palette of nuances, he explores varied emotional territories, leaving room for the unexpected, the sensitive, and the alive.In addition to jazz, his compositions now extend to other aesthetics: pop, electronic music, folk, and alternative. His inspirations are multiple—from the Beatles to Radiohead, via Nick Drake, Saya Gray, Sampha, and Louis Cole—and enrich a unique, hybrid, and poetic sound universe.During his residency at Baiser Salé, Nathan will be surrounded by artists who will punctuate each concert with new colors. La musique de Nathan Mollet est une invitation à l’intime, portée par un piano qui murmure autant qu’il éclate. À la croisée du jazz, des musiques actuelles et de l’improvisation, il tisse un univers profondément vivant, en constante exploration.Dans ce projet inédit, Nathan Mollet présente le groupe « Travelers » fondé par les frères Mollet, Noé et Nathan, dans le but de donner forme à des compositions sensibles qui retracent leur enfance commune à travers des sonorités novatrices et nostalgiques en s’inspirant d’artistes contemporains comme Blake Mills, Pedro Martins ou Dion Kerr, tout comme leurs aînés Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth ou Lyle Mays… C’est l’opportunité de découvrir de la nouvelle matière sonore en mêlant jazz fusion, folk et musique électronique. « Travelers » se produira en quartet avec les deux batteurs Matis Hurion et Tiss Rodriguez. Plus qu’une simple série de dates, cette résidence est pensée comme un laboratoire de création, un terrain d’expérimentation où le partage et l’émotion sont au cœur de chaque performance
