Smooth Latin jazz vocalist and song-writer Debora Galan will treat San Diego-area music lovers to an early New Year’s Eve performance in the lobby lounge of the Fairmont Grand Del Mar Resort from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Folks who like to start the evening early and those who plan to be home for the countdown until midnight will love this opportunity.

The San Diego songstress performs widely on the West Coast. She has also performed in Canada, Spain, and Mexico, and her music is played by radio stations around the world. She recently returned from a homecoming tour of the Mid-Atlantic, reconnecting with fans in Washington, D.C. area, where she started her singing career. Her powerful live performances drew fans and favor from radio hosts far and wide. Galan’s 2016 album All About Love features original compositions sung in English and Spanish. Critics have praised her stirring vocal renditions and the rich and rhythmic arrangements that frame them. Her New Year’s Eve show will feature holiday favorites such as jazzy versions of Melody Gardot’s Over the Rainbow, Sophie Millman’s rendition of Paul Simon’s 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. The program will also include the singer’s own jazz and pop compositions. Fans will enjoy Galan's original tunes such as “Arms of Love”
and the lovely ballad “Through the Eyes of a Child.” Her December 31 band features pianist Todd Simon, bassist Nathan Brown and drummer Tres ‘Sojourn’ Hodgens.
