Heartwood Revisited is comprised of four of the remaining five members of the group Heartwood. Tim Hildebrandt, Robert Hudson, Carter Minor and Byron Paul. The fifth member, Joe McGlohon, now resides in the U.K.
 
Heartwood formed in Greenville, NC in early 1972 and played throughout North Carolina. They later signed a Recording contract with GRC Records located in Atlanta, GA and relocated there to be closer to the company and to open a wider area for potential gigs.  
 
Their second album, "Nothin' Fancy", was produced by Paul Hornsby who also produced all the early albums by Charlie Daniels and The Marshall Tucker Band....

Heartwood toured extensively from the Southeast to the Southwest, opening for groups such as The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Earl Scruggs Review, Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Mother's Finest. They went on an album promotional tour to Texas where they opened for Asleep at the Wheel, David Allen Coe and Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys. 
 
Heartwood Revisited will be joined by Dwight Little (a Carrboro and Chapel Hill favorite) on bass and Andy Swindell (long-time keyboard player and vocalist for the Embers) on keyboards.
 
The band will be playing a mix of Heartwood tunes from their two albums, "Heartwood" and "Nothin' Fancy" along with tunes from a couple of demo tapes that would have been on our third Heartwood album. Additionally, they will be playing some of Tim's more recent songs. 
 


Deadline for buying tickets online is 5pm the day of the show.
