The popular Bossa Brasil Quartet will perform in concert at the Latin Jazz @ Galeria music series in Westfield, NJ. This intimate live music event, presented by TEATRO Si on Saturday, April 11 2026 at 7:30pm, transports the audience through the classic smooth sounds of the Bossa Nova from Brazil.
The quartet is led by accomplished Brazilian jazz drummer Mauricio de Souza. He is joined by Behn Gillece on vibraphone, German Gonzalez on guitar, and John Lenis on bass as together they bring their critically acknowledged sounds to the stage at GALERIA The Art Venue in downtown Westfield, NJ.
For over 20 years, MaurĂcio de Souza has been performing and directing his own groups. The Bossa Brasil Quartet performs classic standards of the Brazilian jazz repertoire & more. The sophisticated and pulsating arrangements include original compositions as well as popular standards by Tom Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Hermeto Pascoal, Pat Metheny and Freddie Hubbard.
