Jazz harpist and composer Carol Robbins, a student of the legendary Dorothy Ashby, has forged a distinct and expressive voice on her instrument. With five studio albums showcasing her original compositions alongside jazz standards and Brazilian favorites, Robbins has collaborated with an eclectic array of artists including Dianne Reeves, Manhattan Transfer, Brian Wilson, and Stevie Wonder. A member of Billy Childs’ Grammy Award winning Jazz Chamber Ensemble, she brings a rich musical sensibility shaped by decades of performance and recording. For this special evening, Robbins presents her compositions and select jazz works with longtime friends and collaborators Billy Childs and Bob Sheppard, supported by an outstanding rhythm section featuring Christian Euman on drums and Dan Chmielinski on bass.
