Babo Moreno is the bold new project from London-based drummer and percussionist Fabio De Oliveira, a musician at the heart of the UK jazz scene and a proud bearer of Brazil’s rhythmic legacy. Raised in London by Brazilian parents, Fabio weaves the deep-rooted traditions of Forró, Ijexá and Maracatu into the language of contemporary British jazz, creating music that is rhythmically rich, harmonically adventurous and unmistakably personal.
