Force of Nature -kvintetti on viidestä nuoresta muusikosta koostuva energinen jazzyhtye, jonka nimikin heijastelee voimakasta ja luonnonvoimien kaltaista musiikillista ilmaisua.
Yhtyeen musiikki ammentaa inspiraatiota monista eri lähteistä, mutta erityisesti heidän innoittajina ovat toimineet Miles Davisin toinen kvintetti, 1970-luvun lopun V.S.O.P -kvintetti ja 1980-luvun straight-ahead jazzin suuntaukset. Nämä vaikutteet kuuluvat yhtyeen soitossa, jossa yhdistyvät spontaani riskinotto ja kommunikaatio, räjähdysmäinen energia, sekä vankka ymmärrys jazzmusiikin perinteestä.
Yhtyeessä soittavat kaikkien aikojen ensimmäisen Suomen Jazzliiton nuorelle poikkeuksellisen nuorelle taitavalle ja tavoitteelliselle muusikolle myönnettävän Taimi-palkinnon vuonna 2023 voittanut klarinetisti Joonatan Henriksson, lokakuussa 2023 debyyttialbuminsa julkaissut vibrafonisti Olli Virtanen, nuori pianovirtuoosi Pyry Brandt, suomalaisten huippubasistien joukkoon noussut Otso Huhtala, sekä kansainvälistä huomiota kerännyt mm. Maja Mannila Triosta tuttu rumpali Severi Sorjonen.
Yhtye esittää omia sävellyksiään, sekä sovituksia jazzklassikoista. Sävellysten innoitus on lähtöisin esimerkiksi Wayne Shorterin, Herbie Hancockin, Miles Davisin, Michael Breckerin, Joe Hendersonin ja Freddie Hubbardin tuotannosta. Sävellyksissä korostuvat tyypillisten muotojen rikkominen ja harmonisesti vapaa improvisointi, joka mahdollistaa yhtyeen jäsenten välisen moniulotteisen kommunikoinnin.
