Now embarking on their first international tour, Salesvuo Syncopation invites audiences to experience powerful swing and nostalgic melodies performed by three of Finland’s most sought-after jazz musicians. Catch the spark of Finnish jazz!

In 2026, it will be 100 years since jazz symbolically arrived in Finland with the ship Andania. The year thus marks a historic centenary celebration for Finnish jazz: Jazz in Finland 100. The anniversary highlights Finnish jazz and its artists both in Finland and abroad, celebrating jazz as part of Finland’s cultural heritage. The Jazz in Finland 100 campaign is coordinated by the Finnish Jazz Federation.

Tomi Salesvuon sävellyksiä sekä raikkaita jazzsovituksia kotimaisen musiikin klassikoista esittävä kokoonpano on koottu muusikkoystävyksistä, joilla on taustaa vuosien varrelta lukuisista eri yhteyksistä. Muusikoiden riemukkaat yhteiset soittoelämykset ponnistavat aina Sibelius-Akatemian opintoajoilta asti! Kokoonpanossa ovat mukana kotimaisen jazzkentän huiput Petri Puolitaival (saksofoni), Mikko Helevä (Hammond urut) ja Tomi Salesvuo (rummut). Yhtyeen esikoisalbumi Complete Loft Sessions (Eclipse Music) on julkaistu 2023.
Nyt ensimmäiselle kansainväliselle kiertueelleen lähtevä Salesvuo Syncopation kutsuu yleisön kokemaan svengaavaa jazzia ja nostalgisia melodioita kolmen Suomen kysytyimmän jazzmuusikon esittämänä. Koe suomalaisen jazzin säihke!

Vuonna 2026 tulee kuluneeksi 100 vuotta siitä, kun jazz symbolisesti rantautui Andania-laivan mukana Suomeen. Vuosi on siten historiallinen kotimaisen jazzin juhlavuosi: Jazz Suomi 100 -juhlavuosi. Juhlavuosi nostaa esiin kotimaista jazzia ja sen tekijöitä niin Suomessa kuin ulkomailla, ja juhlii jazzia osana suomalaista kulttuuriperintöä. Jazz Suomi 100 -kampanjaa koordinoi Suomen Jazzliitto.
