In Memory Of Svend Asmussen - Internationally acclaimed violinist Mads Tolling, who has won two Grammy Awards, celebrates the memory of jazz violinist Svend Asmussen. Tolling was 14 years old when he first listened to Svend Asmussen at a concert where the young guitarist Jacob Fischer was in Asmussen’s quartet. Soon after Tolling contacted Asmussen and they have kept in touch since then. Now almost 20 years later, Tolling and Fischer is getting together on stage to honour their mentor. Along with Mathias Petri and Andreas Svendsen they will play Asmussen's older and newer melodies and a couple of Tolling and Fischer's own compositions....

In Memory Of Svend Asmussen – Den internationalt anerkendte violinist Mads Tolling, der har vundet to Grammy Awards, hylder med sin kvartet jazzviolisten Svend Asmussens. Tolling var 14 år, da han første gang lyttede til Svend Asmussen ved en koncert, hvor den unge guitarist Jacob Fischer var med i Asmussens kvartet. Lidt efter ringede Tolling til Asmussen, og de har holdt kontakten siden da. Nu næsten 20 år senere har Tolling og Fischer fundet sammen på scenen for at ære deres mentor. Sammen med Mathias Petri og Andreas Svendsen vil de fremføre Asmussens ældre og nyere melodier samt et par af Tolling og Fischers egne kompositioner.
