This coming Friday Nov 6, well known hornmeister Gabriel Mark Hasselbach gets all sultry and soulful with a Blue Frog Studios Concert in White Rock, BC, featuring jazz titans Cory Weeds (sax) and Miles Black (piano), with Tim Stacey (bass) and Nino DiPasquale (drums). Gabriel will be on trumpet, flugelhorn, and flute, and will be debuting some new original straight ahead tunes and some never before performed (live) tunes from his lengthy album collaborations with Miles Black. Gabriel just found out he had made the ballot in three categories at the Grammys- Best Contemporary Instrumental Album (for Open Invitation), and two for Best Improvised Jazz Solo for two of his songs.
