Born in 1946, saxophonist János Németh, who has been living in Germany for decades, is one of the most distinguished representatives of the jazz "great generation."
In the late 1960s, he was already playing with the first "Bögöly-style" Rákfogó ensemble, and he gave unforgettable performances with the legendary Pege Aladár Quartet, alongside Mihály Ráduly. He was also a member of the first lineup of Kőszegi Rhythm & Brass.
From his renewed quintet, the audience can experience his original compositions as well as fresh, forward-looking re-arrangements of jazz classics.
