The NSCS Jazz Concert Series returns Thursday, March 12th, 2026, at the Newcastle Saranac Community Studio, located at 607 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury, in the heart of Boston’s historic Jazz Square. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the concert runs from 6:30–7:45 PM.

This concert features pianist Kenny Werner, bassist Greg Loughman, and drummer Rafael Barata—three master musicians whose collective artistry spans continents and generations. Werner, a world-renowned pianist, composer, Guggenheim Fellow, and author of Effortless Mastery, has shaped the creative lives of musicians worldwide through his profound approach to improvisation and spiritual musicianship. Loughman, praised by JazzTimes for his lyrical authority and melodic clarity, is a versatile and deeply sensitive bassist who has performed with leading voices in modern jazz while anchoring projects across genres.
